Yosemite & San Fransisco

After graduation Tyler and I headed to California to visit Colin and Jamie. We stopped by Yosemite on the way and it was absolutely breathtaking. Yosemite is by far one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen in my life. Pictures don't even do it justice but we tried.
We even saw two bears!

The above waterfalls are beautiful right? Well Tyler and I thought it would be fun to hike to the top of the upper falls...turned out it wasn't so fun.I almost didn't make it and we both had a hard time walking for a few days after but it sure was beautiful once we got to the top. Tyler just about gave me a heart attack when he climbed to the edge of the waterfall.

Fortunately he survived and he got some great pictures too.
After our hike we hobbled back to the car and drove on to San Fransisco! It was SO great to see Colin, Jamie, Presley and Maybelle. We miss them so much but are glad they're not too far away. We had so much fun just hanging out with them and sight seeing. Our first stop was a Japanese Tea Garden in the Golden Gate Park.

Next we stopped by Golden Gate BridgeThen we drove down Lombard Street...... on our way to Fisherman's Wharff and Pier 39 for some delicious lunch at Bubba Gump'sOn the way back we stopped by Ghirardelli Square for some treats. That night we went out to dinner at BJ'sThe next day we crossed the Golden Gate Bridge to go to a beautiful redwood forest.

Presley had to take a little potty break...
On the way home we stopped in Sauslito for some lunch and had a gorgeous view of the bay
Then back over the bridge and we headed home.
Thanks Colin and Jam for letting us come visit you! You were definitely the highlight of our trip. We love and miss you guys!

Women's Conference

My mom was asked to speak at the annual Women's Conference held at BYU. Though she was as nervous and stressed as ever, she delivered her beautiful speech with grace and poise, not to our surprise. We all knew she'd be fabulous and she most certainly was! I am so lucky to have such a wonderful mother!

Birthday Party

My Grandma's 75th birthday party was held at Tuscany and we certainly enjoyed the evening!

21!

I turned 21 on Saturday and had a very Happy Birthday. Ty made me breakfast, I had so much fun shopping with my darling mother and then we went to Cafe Rio, Spoon Me and to the Utah Gymnastics meet with the Ences.
Gotta love birthdays!

So my husband has a feminine side...

Tyler made cookies last Sunday for the families he home teaches...all by himself! The only thing he asked me was what "cream butter and sugar" meant. He'd never made cookies before in his life and they turned out pretty stinking good! I was highly impressed.
Later in the week he put together this creation...impressive, I know.
So basically my husband is awesome!
Love you Ty!

Arches and Goblin Valley

Tyler and I had a blast camping and site seeing in Moab with our dancing buddies Parker and Laci. Here we are driving away. Thanks to my parents for letting us drive their Burb and providing us with treats. I have the best parents ever!
First stop...Goblin Valley:

Then we went on a hike through a beautiful slot canyon.

We are pretty hard core campers seeing as we slept in the back of the Suburban. Unfortunately we are lame and only got one picture of our amazing camping skills. Tasty tin foil dinners!
Our next stop was Arches National Park...absolutely fabulous.
That's us way up there!
When we got back to Salt Lake we cleaned up and all went out to dinner. Can you tell that I had food in my mouth and was worried to smile to big?

First Anniversary

I can't believe that Tyler and I have already been married for one year. You often hear that the first year of marriage is the hardest but I would have to disagree. This past year has been the best year of my life! Marriage is a blast and Tyler and I have had so much fun getting to know each other and have had so many adventures.
I look forward to many more years together.
I love you Ty!
