Family!

My whole family came to visit over their spring break and it was so fabulous to see them. I miss them so much! It was fun to have them here and show them around the city.

My parents surprised us with a limo ride to see the monuments at night! We had a blast pretending we were rich and famous, sipping Martinelli's and eating Krispy Kremes. Seeing the sites lit up at night was just beautiful. Thanks mom and dad!

After exhausting ourselves in DC we headed down to the Williamsburg area. First stop was Busch Gardens. We went there all three days and had a blast. Our strategy to get up super early and deal with the cold worked out fabulously, we were able to ride all of the rides multiple times. So much fun but I have to admit I was a little dizzy afterward.

Seeing the Jamestown area was really cool. And it was just beautiful.

Colonial Williamsburg was pretty amazing. They have preserved a remarkably large part of the town and have people dressed up in colonial era attire walking around and doing performances.

One night we ate dinner at Shields Tavern. It was an authentic colonial era restaurant, sans electricity and complete with actors walking around singing about drinking and pounding on the tables. It was a pretty fun experience.

So much fun but I miss you too much already. Thanks Mom and Dad for a fabulous trip. We can't wait to see you all in a few more weeks!

Baby Shower

We threw a baby shower for one of our friends the other weekend and it was so much fun!
