Summer Time

A couple of our favorite things to do during summer are:

Watch movies outside

Walk to Einstein's and have bagels and orange juice for breakfast

Athens

The Acropolis
Pantheon
Temple of Athena Nike
The oldest theatre in the world

Santorini, Greece

So picturesque, beautiful and romantic. We had a great time!

Red, White and Black sand beach. Ty loved the beaches here because it was pebbles, not sand, which makes for less mess.
Learning to drive a stick
Our hotel
Dinner on an ocean cliff at sunset.

Istanbul

Hagia Sofia, a Christian basilica turned Muslim mosque has the most stunning interior designs I've ever seen, more beautiful than Saint Peter's Basilica in my opinion.

Topkapi Palace
The Blue Mosque

We loved visiting the bazaars!
The food in Turkey was amazing but our favorite was the sweet shops around every corner. Baklava now has a special place in my heart.

Roma

Rome, where to even begin? Such an amazing city with so much history, so many things to do and see and some yummy food to top it off.

St. Peters
Trevi Fountain
Pantheon
Sistine Chapel

School of Athens
The Roman Forum was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. These buildings are over two thousand years old and far surpass many of the buildings that have been built in the past century. There is so much history here and it was very neat to be able to experience it.

Collosseum

As we were leaving Rome I got sick and puked on the metro. Tyler took a picture but I'll spare you ...

Pomeii

Very massive and very old and very well preserved

Florence

Duomo, very pretty.
Brunelleschi's Dome
The most beautiful statue I have ever seen in my life.

Interesting fact: David's right hand is abnormally large in proportion to the rest of his body. As Michelangelo was a phenomenal sculpture it has been speculated that he did this to represent the hand of God in David defeating Goliath; pretty neat.
